Aproaching the deity, he saw that the fingers and the feet where not finished yet .The most wise minister of the king told him that the sculptor was Lord Jagannatha Himself, and due to that the king had broken his promise and opened the doors 7 day earlier, Lord Jagannatha manifested himself in this way.

The king considered himself a great offender, and decided to end his life. Again he sat dawn on Kushagrass and started to fast. When it was after midnight, Lord Jagannatha appeared again to him in his dream, and told him: "I am eternally situated here in Nilacal in the form of Lord Jagannatha like daru brahman. In this material world I descend in the form of 24 different Deity incarnations. I do not have material hands or feet, but with my transcendental senses I accept everything offered by my devotees. And for the benefit of the world I will move from one place to another."

"You broke your promise but actually this is simply a part of the sweet pastimes to manifest Myself in this form of Jagannatha, who protects the eternal words of the Vedas. Those devotees, whose eyes are salved with the paste of pure love, will always see me as Syamasundara holding a flute."

"If you wish to serve me with great opulence, you can decorate me now and then with hands and feet made of gold and silver. You need to know that my limbs are the decorations of all the decorations."
